It is commonly known that two heads are better than one. This
phrase means that you will obtain better results if the ideas are coming from
more than just one person. The ability to work with a partner or on a team is a
huge characteristic of being successful. Although people do greatly enjoy self
recognition, group recognition is also highly valued. Team members help to tell
you what you are doing right and also they tell you what you can improve on or
are doing wrong. It is key to be able to handle constructive criticism in order
to succeed. Have you ever been in a situation where constructive criticism was
too much for you to handle?
Personally, I think this phrase does not really apply in all situations. I enjoy working in teams if all my members are willing to contribute equally. Two heads are indeed better than one, if both heads have the same level of intelligence and understanding that their efforts together will make the best out of the time. It's not as effective when you have someone contributing 70% and the other with 30%. From my work experience, working in teams is essential, however, when you work with people of various personalities and characteristics. It proves to be a huge headache. Nonetheless, sometimes you get lucky and are able to meet with those who share the same values and knowledge as yourself. Meanwhile, reaching your best potential puts you above all the others who contribute less than you. Thus, hard work is recognized and rewarded in the end. Two pieces of the puzzle can only fit when they satisfy each other in terms of quality of work.
ReplyDeleteCriticism is sometimes good or bad, depending on how the individual can accept it. The truth is hard to handle, but the result is unknown until you go for it.
Depending on situations, can only two heads prove to be better than one when the other head brings the best out of the other one.
the title of this blog explains everything. Two heads are better than one. You may not know everything or missed something well you were double checking your work, so a second set of eyes is also very good
ReplyDeleteI agree that two heads are better than one. Of course there are a few exceptions to this phrase, but in general two motivated hard-working individuals will outwork and outperform one.
